The left trigger button should execute the pick up command while riding on a Pteranodon but it's not working at the moment. Is there an easy way to edit the key bindings for the controller to enable this? I really enjoy playing this game with the controller and it's super awkward to have to reach over and click the right mouse button to pick things up.
A Pteranodon flown by a skilled rider along with several AI Pteranodon fighting alongside can easily overwhelm a Quetzal siege platform or Argentavis riding raider, with the AI Pteranodon being able to cover the ridden individual and give them time to park and regenerate stamina. (Level Stamina and Health) Travel: While the Pteranodon doesn't have the Argentavis's weight, the Pteranodon has high speed, because of this they are good creatures for a fast travel through dangerous areas. (This is still possible for Mobile)Having a Pteranodon follow you or a mount at high speeds may be annoying and impractical, as the Pteranodon will easily overtake any other creature. While flying on a Pteranodon in multiplayer mode, beware of auto turret-wielding bases, as they can easily shoot down your Pteranodon very quickly.

Putting too many points into Speed can make the Pteranodon fly too fast compared to its turning speed. Trivia not relevant for the gameDespite being classed as a carnivore in-game, it is far more likely that the real Pteranodon was piscvorousDespite the fact Pteranodon means "Toothless Wing", the ones in the game are portrayed with small sharp teeth. While they are portrayed with a bat like bony rod supporting the wing, real Pteranodon had no such structures.
How to pick up players?
---I used to be a vault hunter, till I got shot in the face. It's tricky to get right. Once you get the timing right though you'll be able to grab things in one full speed swoop. I found it easier with the Argy as you can just stand in front of the person & grab them the moment you take off. In official pve you can't grab non tribe members or wild dinos.
Use left trigger to pick up animals. Right trigger to attack, witch can also be used on a picked up enemy's. pull left…
I think that these guys should have an ability where they can glide on air drafts. In real life they were experts at manipulating their wings to ride currents. Maybe wildcard could make it so that they could activate stamina preservation mode in which they ride air currents while sacrificing speed but won’t need to land for a very very very long time since they will be utilizing the wind not their stamina.
How do you pick up dinos with a Wyvern on Xbox? :: ARK: Survival Evolved General Discussions
How do you pick up dinos with a Wyvern on Xbox? This has probably already been asked, but I've tried messing around with my newly aquired wyvern, and all I seem to be able to do is attack with the button I normally use to pick up animals with my other flyers. What button on the Xbox controller is used to grab? Oh, I'm in a solo game, not PvE or PvP. Thanks in adance!
